Dr. Xander S Faison

I met with Xander Faison for diagnostic testing and three therapy sessions. He shared something in an appointment that I found inappropriate for a client-therapist relationship, so I decided to further verify his license number, listed on my diagnosis paperwork. I discovered that the provided license number belongs to a completely different person. He has claimed that his license is listed under a name he no longer uses, but this is not even true. It is a completely different person, not him.

Canceled our appointment a couple hours before our scheduled assessment. Wanted to charge me a scheduling fee again to reschedule. Awful business practices. Seems to be taking advantage of people with autism/other disabilities. Don’t do it. Complete scam.

Terrible. After our awful interaction, I tried to see how to file a formal complaint, and it seems like they may not actually be licensed/their license numbers are fake. Please don't make the same mistake I did and do thorough research before scheduling with this person.

I would give zero stars if I could. I never even got my appointment, and still had a horrible time with this therapist. He rescheduled the first (telehealth) appointment. The second appointment, I emailed them when they never showed up in Zoom and was told that I had no appointment. I forwarded the system email that I received that confirmed the appointment to them and they continued to blame me, saying that no appointment existed, and rescheduled for the next Monday. Two weeks after the original appointment, the morning of my 3rd attempt at an appointment he emailed me half an hour before the appointment telling me that they were cancelling it because they were going to focus on patients that wanted other services. I replied that they knew that I scheduled an autism assessment without further services when I had scheduled it and that I expected them to honor the appointment after all of that waiting, and that I couldn’t believe that they would cancel an appointment at the last minute… for someone presumably autistic. He spent the next 3 hours berating me over email (which is a bit funny considering that they supposedly didn’t have the time for my appointment) and told me that I was “using my autism as a crutch” (to get an autism assessment!) and also called me manipulative and other cruel things. He kept imsisting that I was demanding “special treatment” by expecting them to honor the appointment that they made with me. I have never seen a therapist behave like this in my life and that is why I felt compelled to write this review. This was all over emails, which I have saved for proof.
