Dr. Xiao-Mei Plum Zeng, MD

My experience at the gynecologist's office fell far short of expectations. Over the span of two years, I underwent treatments for BV, yeast infections, and, most recently, mycoplasmas. The situation escalated to the point where I was informed that I might have developed a resistance to antibiotics, which I suspect was a consequence of their prolonged and excessive treatments. What's notable is that many times, I received treatments despite lacking any symptoms. In cases where the infections were minor, my body could have naturally healed, but I was repeatedly prescribed more medications. Frustration led me to seek second and third opinions, which revealed two crucial facts. First, I learned that I didn't require treatment unless I experienced irritation, as my body was capable of self-healing and balancing for minor issues. Second, I discovered that treating mycoplasmas was unnecessary since I had no plans of becoming pregnant again, having already made the decision to complete my… family. Consequently, I would strongly advise others to explore alternative medical offices. For a considerable period, I harbored suspicions that the office might have been exploiting my situation, possibly exaggerating infections to justify additional lab tests and prescriptions, all charged to my insurance.

This review is actually on the behalf of my mother Brenda Johnson. She was seen by Dr. Zeng about a week ago. After paying her $100 copay! My mother expressed to front office and the MA in the back that she was referred there by her primary doctor for a biopsy ONLY! When Dr. Zeng came in my mom again stated she was only there for a biopsy. My mom noticed that it looked like she was being prepped for a pap. Again she asked what are you doing? Dr. Zen stated to her that she was doing a pap. Of course now my mom is very upset because she already had her yearly exam. My mother stated “Dr. Zen that’s not the reason for my visit. I only came for a biopsy.” Dr. Zen actually stated “Well it’s already done”! She then had the nerve to actually ask my mother “DID YOU GO TO MEDICAL SCHOOL”? This type of response is extremely unprofessional and wasn’t called for at all! I’m unsure if this office was trying to get more money because you knew this would be a out of pocket fee, and it wouldn’t be… covered. If this is normal practice of this office it’s totally unacceptable! Needless to say she’s reporting this to her primary care provider and will never return!

I was going to her for years. I had to change dr's because of my insurance. After going thru hysterectomy I found out i have early stage uterine cancer & cyst was found in one of my ovaries. What gets me angry is Dr Zengs office has done ultrasounds on me all the time and tells me my issues was fibroids , and they didn't detect the cyst.

I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF THE OFFICE FOR MANY YEARS. YES, SHE IS A BUSY PHYSICIAN AND HAS A LOT OF PATIENTS BUT SHE KNOWS EACH ONE OF THEM AND WHAT THEY NEED. VISITS ARE FAST BECAUSE SHE IS IN HIGH DEMAND AND SHE IS VERY SMART AND EFFICIENT. SHE DOES NOT WASTE TIME SUGAR COATING THINGS PATIENTS DON'T WANT TO HEAR BECAUSE SHE CARES ABOUT THEIR HEALTH AND WELL BEING. HER HEART AND SOUL GOES INTO HER PRACTICE EVERYDAY AND HER STAFF ARE LIKE FAMILY AND TREAT HER PRACTICE AS IF IT WAS THERE OWN! SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN OR RECOMMEND UNNECESSARY PROCEDURES. I HAVE RECOMMENDED MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND ALL ARE SATISFIED WITH HER AND THE WAY SHE RUNS HER PRACTICE.

This doctor is yes, rushed, waiting yes, as most docs today you do. You have to let her know if there are issues and she will speak to you. She has saved me more than once in a bad situation with other docs. I am totally grateful for finding her.

wait time is almost two hours, then you get to see her, she in and out of exam room in a mintue or less tell you nothing and walks away you need to run after her to ask what wrong with you she give you no information women had zero bedside matter go elsewhere

Had to wait a good few months for first appointment but this was because I am a new patient. Haven't had any follow-ups as yet. Was very impressed with the offices and the doctor was charming, friendly and impressive. Friendly staff - good vibes all around!

Highly competent OBGYN with excellent bedside manners. Dr. Zeng really cares about her patients.

I don't think she is a "caring" Dr. as other have implied. After waiting more than one hour in the waiting room, we had to wait more than half hour in the patient room. She practically rushed in asking about the problem. Jumped into conclusion and gave me a wrong diagnose. All was rush! rush! rush! No bedside manner either. I would never recomment this doctor!

Dr. Xiao-Mei Zeng is not only an excellent doctor, she truly cares about her patients as individual people. She is the most attentive doctor I have ever had in the past, and I had to go through a few before I found her some years back. She truly understands the needs of her women patients and reminds me of doctors I had in north USA who remained our family doctors for years to come-- in other words " she cares about her patients...we are not just another number which happens so frequently with Florida Health care.. she is with the old school mentality , however 1000% up to date on current medical for this day and age .
