Dr. Xiaoping Xu, MD

I have been suffering with chronic debilitating hip pain for four years. I was in pain 24/7, could not sleep in my bed, due to the pain increasing when reclining. I would attempt to sleep sitting in a chair. My quality of life was at an all-time low due to the severity of the pain. I saw many orthopedic specialists; but the pain only became worse. The prescribed pain medications did not help at all. One doctor told me i was not in pain at all; according to him, it was all psychosomatic. An MRI revealed severe trochanter bursitis, gluteus maximus bursitis and osteoarthritis. I received a total of seven cortisone injections and a total of 23 sessions of physical therapy in a span of four years, which only made the pain worse, to the point I had to use a cane. One of Dr. Xu's patient referred me to her and it completed changed my life for the better. Dr. Xu went over my history and said she believed she could held me through acupuncture and acupressure. I began the treatment the same day,… after two treatments, my pain level went from 10 to about 5. After two more treatments my pain is 2 and improving. I no longer need a cane and I am able to sleep in my bed and rest peacefully. Dr. Xu and her staff are the most compassionate, knowledgeable and professionals I have encountered. Their bedside manners are exemplary. I absolutely love coming to my appointments; because I know I am In great hands and receiving superb care. Being doctors is not just a profession to Dr. Xu and her staff, it is truly a calling.
