Dr. Xiaoqing Sheila Liu, MD

While in practice Dr Liu was one of a kind & she saved my life in ways that many others before her couldn't. Thank you Dr. At our last meeting a little over a year ago still seems unreal to me. I hope to exchange emails. Thank you for your Dr Liu

Dr. Liu has been very helpful to me. I was recommended to her by a therapist who felt I needed inpatient treatment. Dr. Liu listened and prescribed medication. It's been about 8 months and I can honestly say my life is completely different. I get out of bed, go to work, and on the weekends I even take my daughter to the park. My life before her was a mixture of crying in the bathroom at work and sleeping all day on the weekends.

Dr. Liu is a great listener, a kind and gentle doctor who saved my life.

Dr. Liu is my Psychiatrist during my last 2 major episode of depression in 2009 and 2014. She's professional and caring, as well as very experienced. She helped me out of the darkest moments of my life and I trust her like an old friend already. When I had trouble recovering by using the previous effective medications in end 2014, she gave me a lot of support and suggested new solutions, which finally cured me. Appreciate a lot of her hard work, patience and support.

I was going through a rough stretch in life and knew I was depressed. Went to my GP and got prescribed so anti-depressants and it had bad effects on me. Needed to see a dr who had more knowledge of this type of medications. The calls to other dr's had wait times of months to see them. Dr Liu was able to see me within days. Got me on the right medication and it has worked wonders. Go and see her for routine check ups and things have been nothing but helpful and professional.

This doctor out of many different doctors over the years. From different types of specialties from neurology to psychiatry. This doctor is more concerned about her business and prescribing medications right away. After one year of seeing her and using her medications, it feels as though the depression and anxiety, as a result from the epilepsy, has gotten progressively worse. I even mentioned this to her and just continued to raise the mg's of the meds. There generally was a decent amount of time to wait. About 20-30 minutes, guaranteed. If you intend to feel better I recommend a different Pschiatrist, in my opinion. She clearly loves her prescription pad, she is really fast to write a Rx for drugs such as lithium. Which is a horrible drug to try and prescribe to patients. No my 19 years of seeing different doctors. She has to be one of the worst and impersonal doctors.

So, I went to her for depression. She asked what medication I was taking and I told her I was taking Xanax for anxiety 3 times a day. She automatically went into a tangent about Xanax, and wanted to send me to a place to get detoxed. Are you kidding me? You didn't even address my depression issues, so in reality she did nothing to help me in regards to my depression and bc I was so depressed I wasn't in a place to figure all of this out. Now that I have found a "real" psychiatrist, I now realize that she has no business being in that field. How does a quote unquote psychiatrist make a bases of depression based on Xanax? Like are you serious. I would never in a million years recommend her. Oh and it only cost me almost $200 for absolutely no "HELP"

this psychiatrist is definitely too busy with two locations. her focus is money and not the patient. She misdiagnosed me and my wife. She had no follow up at all. Now we see a psychiatrist that has just one office and really seems to care about us not only as patients but as people. It took a long time for my wife and me to even decide to get help. We have 4 teenagers who depend on us as parents and Dr. Liu did not seem to want to invest any energy into our need for seeking help and guidance.

I've been seeing Dr. Liu for about 4 or 5 years now (since her partner retired) and have always found her very responsive to my psychiatric needs. I like the fact that she monitors the physical effect of medication by looking at the results of medical tests ordered by other physicians. Also, unlike many doctors, she takes customer service issues seriously. At one point an overzealous staff member delayed my medication by getting between me and the doctor. When I mentioned the problem to Dr. Lui, she took care of it immediately.

Her personality inspired me confidence from the first visit.She is very caring and hospitable. The treatment she chose for me is working in a way i feel a difference from the way i use to feel.
