Dr. Xiao Shuang Yin, MD

My 85-year-old father had an appointment today at 1:00 PM. Access-A-Ride picked him up at 11:30 AM, but due to unforeseen traffic, they didn’t arrive until 1:15 PM. Despite the delay being out of our control and the fact that my father—who has serious chronic medical conditions, including scoliosis, had endured a long, uncomfortable ride in a wheelchair from Brooklyn, the office refused to see him. I pleaded with the staff member who called me, explaining his health situation and the great distance he had traveled, and asked if they could please make an exception. Sadly, they showed no compassion or flexibility. They were focused solely on moving on to the next patient, as if staying on schedule was more important than showing basic decency to an elderly man in need. They cared more about money than about patients—especially vulnerable ones like my father. We will never return to this office. Dr Yin should be a shamed of herself. What Shameful treatment of an elderly patient! Pure… Evil!

I saw Dr. Yin, MD Geriatric Medicine, for the first time on October 11th at her 77th street office. I was transferred to her after my previous doctor relocated. To say that she was compassionate and kind would be an under-statement. She gave me so much time and thoroughly reviewed all past and present medical information. She even went as far as to call me the next day , SATURDAY, with my lab results . It is rare to find such personal care these days. Annie
