Dr. Yacov Kogan, MD

He repeated asked me to take clothing on and off, and the visit was for over an hour. There is no staff. I had to loudly announce my presence to make sure I was in the correct, unmarked office. The office was cold, and I am in significant pain with movement restrictions. I was there for an hour repeatedly stripping for him. It was uncomfortable and weird. I don't know why SS sent me to him.

It’s mind blowing that a medical doctor could be as incompetent as “Doctor” Kogan. I was sent to him by social security and it was a complete waste of everyone’s time. You couldn’t have been more medically negligent if you wrote that report before the examination was completed. Shame on you. Find a new career, you give a bad name to the medical field.

after reading these comments, I would go here .. besides that, you can’t call him.. he has no patients, or HE WOULD HAVE A PHONE NUMBER .. IF SS WANTS U TO GO HERE ASK TO SEE ANOTHER NEUROLOGIST..

I went for an IME for my disability case. Despite my brain injury I was told my husband could not accompany me. Kogan told me he had not seen anything in my file, that he was not given any because they wanted him to examine me n diagnose me himself untainted by other doctors . Despite telling him of my dramatic stroke experience with 4 blood clot retrieval’s (including a 6 hr brain surgery, a torn rotator cuff end bicep tendon (inoperable due to additional stroke risk), 4 knee surgeries, a rotator cuff repair pre stroke and back surgery, advanced cervical arthritis, an inability to lift my left arm he reported there was nothing wrong with me. I had full range of motion and no neurological deficits! I can’t wait to put him on the witness stand! Explain the orthopedic and neurological results of the doctors that do their job. The state simply bought an opinion that they could deny me with.... Round 2

He doesn't have a clue. Doesn't care about you. My spouse was with me and he knew more about neurology then this so called doctor. Stay away. He's a disgrace!

Kept asking me if I do drugs. Do I drink? I never touch the crap. Yet his mind was convinced. He kept asking me the same questions over and over again. Expecting a different answer. Paid $10 for 30 mins of parking. You know he gets paid.

This so called doctor is a complete fraud!! Went for an evaluation for workers comp. His mind was made up before i entered the door. He refused to answer any medical questions because im not his patient. He lied about everything except the bill he submitted for over 900 bucks. He should be totally investigated for insurance fraud.

I have had a similar experience with this "doctor". He outright lied three times on a single report, and I would be willing to testify to that under oath. He should not have a license to practice medicine, and should be sued by every patient he's ever evaluated for malpractice and loss of benefits.

I had an IME appointment with him and he forgot to show up, they had to go and find him. If you ever have to see this "doctor" make sure you have someone in the room with you as he lies on his reports, this was my experience. I just had three surgeries on my shoulder with many titanium screws holding it together, he could see that I had very limited movement but he demanded that I raise my arm over my head and when I couldn't he said "force it" with your other arm or I will say that you are uncooperative. Can you believe a doctor would say such a thing to a person in pain! He wrote in his report that I had full movement when I clearly did not. Then he very briefly examined my back. I have degenerative disc disease, spondylosis and severe stenosis causing very painful, limited movement. When I asked him to help me up off the table he turned his back and said just make a quick movement and roll yourself off, of course I could not do this and he refused to help me. With great pain I… managed to get myself up almost falling off onto the floor, he refused to assist me in any way, he had his back to me the entire time but he wrote in his report that I "quickly jumped up off the table when I thought he wasn't looking"! Really? What kind of doctor would write such a thing? It was a total lie for the benefit of who was paying him for the IME. This doctor has no scruples in my opinion! If I ever attempted to quickly jump up off a table I would be in the ER! I provided him with recent MRI's and many of my Orthopedic Physician's reports which clearly stated that I have a number of disabilities and am physically limited. He chose to write the opposite in his report going against all of the medical evidence that was provided to him. What kind of ethical doctor does this?

no receptionist, very unprofessional looking office. doctor seemed more like the Nutty professor than a real doctor. disability was denied based on his report, and anyone can see the trouble walking, obvious palsy, real signs of disability. guess we know why CT Dept of Social Services uses him; he appears to be incompetent and/or paid off by the state to deny people their due disability.
