Dr. Yahua Yu, MD

I saw Dr. Yu on referral. I have a complex case of systemic nerve damage accompanied by a movement disorder. Dr. Yu was able to make a good assessment of my condition, adjust one of my medications that gave me much needed symptom relief, document the chart in a way that helped my case for advanced testing and referred me for more specialized care. I could not have asked for more from any neurologist. She is a standout doctor.

First appt with Dr Yu this week, her nurse when doing the check in stated she had a plan she uses for patients with my diagnosis. When she arrived after confirming my diagnosis from ER, she was not willing to discuss or even hear about all my symptoms or discuss possible treatment plans, I had brought print-outs of research for my condition which included the top recommended treatment plans from multiple neuro sources, her plan did not follow what the recommended plans were for my diagnosis, and her explanation was she uses the same plan on all her patients. My primary had prescribed something which was helping to some degree and she dismissed it and said that's not what she does. She has no empathy, and leaves you feeling like you are a number she is trying to meet and she is just trying to get out the door.

Dr. Yu is an amazing physician with a top notch staff. Keep up the great work. You are at the top of your game.

I was there because my primary was not listening, I asked for a consultation. Dr Yu listened, ordered a MRI, followed up with me and referred me to a neurosurgeon. My symptoms were real. Her staff was excellent as well.

After seeing Dr. Yu for several months, I would never recommend Dr. Yu to anyone.

Dr Yu has the worst bedside manner I've ever experienced in my life. Her English is at best difficult to understand, and sometimes incomprehensible. She yells at co workers and patients and refused to answer my questions. She was extremely rude and crass while I was hospitalized. My medical records were not released to outpatient specialist in the time frame she promised, resulting in further health complications and unnecessary expenditures. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Yu was very abrasive difficult to deal with during our stay at the hospital. She was very curt and short with us and at times downright rude. She refused to answer my questions, saying I should research online instead as she was too busy. When we finally got out of the hospital and away from her, the specialist we saw afterward told us most of what she said was wrong. He even said the treatment she prescribed was extremely harsh and was lucky not to have caused further complications. I would not recommend anyone see her.
