Dr. Yakup Ozbek, MD

I saw this doctor when I had bad anxiety and every single visit, he would go up my shirt to “listen” to my heart. Never have I ever had a male doctor do that. Obviously going up my shirt would touch my breasts which was very uncomfortable. Also, when I would be in for my anxiety meds, he would see I was late for my Pap smear/annual check up and would ask EVERYTIME if I want him to check it and do my pelvic exam. This was multiple times. I also let Park Nicollet know what was going on and I was ignored by them nobody ever followed up with me regarding this inappropriate touching! How sad is that? No one reached out to me. Don’t see him unless you want to be touched inappropriately. Go to someone else.

My daughter went in twice to clinics and ended up getting him. He misdiagnosed her both times and wasn’t listening to her complaints. The first time he told her she has herpes( cold sore) and she didn’t! ( we followed up with a dermotologist on our own). The second time she ended up going in for flu like symptoms and he said it was asthma and gave her a “ review “ how to use her inhaler even though she has been using it for 10 years! He didn’t listen to her say she knew it wasn’t asthma. I ended up taking her back in to someone else and she had pneumonia. I am upset that this happened twice to her with him! Money, her health and time were wasted seeing this doctor.

My husband presented with recurring extreme exhaustion, poor sleep, etc. Ozbek blew him off - did not even do an exam. Turns out he had a heart issue Ozbek completely missed. Signs were obvious once we knew what the problem was. Hopefully he will recover. You go to a doctor for their experience and wisdom, not to be taken lightly. Lawsuit?
