Dr. Yan Rong Cullen

I recently had a toenail removal by Dr. Yan Rong Cullen, and the experience was excellent. Dr. Cullen was professional, caring, and made the procedure quick and nearly painless. She explained everything clearly and ensured I was comfortable throughout. I highly recommend Dr. Cullen for any podiatric needs!

Tldr: lazy doctor didn't see an easy case and didn't trust my knowledge of my body and symptoms and dismissed me. The next doctor trusted me, confirmed the diagnoses, and fixed the problem. I came here with an already diagnosed Mortons Nueroma last year. Doctor Cullen sent me in for an MRI to confirm, but didn't get contrast ordered (and claimed that she had ordered it with contrast, but that sometimes MRI places just do what they feel like doing). She decided that it wasn't a Mortons Nueroma between the incorrectly performed MRI and it being a less common placement. She gave me a cortisone shot and sent me on my way. When I followed up and told her that the shot hadn't worked she said she didn't know what to tell me and that I probably needed a new doctor. Up to this point we'd had a friendly relationship, but this turn of events disappointed me deeply. I told her that this is my quality of life we were talking about. At 33 I couldn't hike with my kids, my job was on my feet and I… was afraid I'd have to quit, I had been a distance runner up until I started getting more severe symptoms and now just seeing runners would sometimes cause me to break down. She was giving up before she'd even really started because she just didn't want to believe it was a mortons nueroma. She shrugged and sent me on my way. After months I finally got in with a more professional podiatrist and he was able to confirm the mortons nueroma diagnosis in his office the day I met him. I’ve now had surgery and the nerve that was pulled was sent to the lab and confirmed as a mortons nueroma. Thanks Dr. Cullen for not taking my livelihood seriously and extending my suffering because you didn't feel like doing your job. I'm sure you won't accept this weight which makes me incredibly sad because there are other people who are going to expect help from you and end up disappointed. I'm lucky that I wanted this fixed badly enough to keep trying to find a good doctor.
