Dr. Yang Shan, MD

I'm so glad I found Dr. Shan! I've been seeing him for a little over a year now, and he has been a lifesaver. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and he has always been very accommodating, even when I've missed his calls. He is caring and really makes you feel understood, which is something I haven't found with other doctors. I never feel like I'm in danger under his care, and I'm forever grateful for that. Unfortunately, he and Keystone are no longer working out, so I'll have to look for a new doctor, but if you're looking for someone reliable, he's the man you want to see.

I emailed Dr Shan to make an appointment to discuss support and treatment options, while being open to additional evaluation. Instead, I got a short response that offered no solution. It was not effective communication and unfortunately, made me feel alienated from his practice. I apparently have bad luck finding mental health professionals. As I seek someone else, I hope no one responds like this again because it is very discouraging.

Dr. Shan was often on his phone during appointments and I didn't get the feeling he really cared about me as a patient. He might be better at his private clinic then Merakey because he probably interacts with them on a more personal level. Overall I wouldn't recommend him based on my experience.

I would prefer a more accesible office - those steps are rough - but Dr. Shan is kind,courteous and caring.
