Dr. Yanislav Beniaminovich Wolfson, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Wolfson since I was 5. He delivered all 3 of my children and also all of my siblings. He takes his job very serious and actually looks into possibilities just to make sure. My family and I are going to have a very hard time finding someone we trust with our health and sicknesses. We will miss him dearly and thank him for everything he has done for all of us.

We have seen Dr. Wolfson since the conception of my son and it has been a wonderful 6 years ever since! I can always count on him to take great care of our family. My son doesn't mind going to the doctor :) Very happy with the care we have received.

Dr. Wolfson is very knowledgeable and leaves nothing to opinion. When he feels that additonal information is important, he requests any and all tests. He communicates extremely effectively and remembers details from previous visits. An over-65-male now, I have been his patient for ten years, and could not ask for a better doctor. Though I have relocated to Florida, I still come to Minnesota when I really need a good doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr. Wolfson since the end of 2001....so tens years now. I starting seeing him with my first pregnancy and quickly realized what a great doctor he is that he is not only my doctor, but both of my children's. During both of my pregnancies I could've gone to an OB/GYN but there was no need to. Dr. Wolfson's caring nature left me no reason to look for care elsewhere. Having said that, I couldn't disagree more with the other two reviews out here. As far as the negative experience one person said, they weren't specific about what exactly happened so it's really just an empty comment in my opinion. I, unlike that person, can give you instance over instance of Dr. Wolfson's thoughtfulness. Just two weeks ago I was in with my son for his well child check. At the end Dr. Wolfson asked me how I was doing. I started telling him about my allergies and how difficult it is to get an appointment with an allergist. He could have easily told me to make an appointment with… him for a later time or agreed allergists are difficult to see. Instead he sent me to the lab to draw blood so he could review what was going on with me. Two weeks later I saw him again and we now have a treatment plan.Or the time when I was pregnant with my first child and I was admitted into the hospital early due to my blood pressure. I had been on bed rest for almost 2 months. He came down to the hospital to check on me when they admitted me even though I didn't have my son for 2 more days. He didn't have to do that. Or the time I went into labor with my second child. He showed up in the middle of the night to delivery my baby. Knowing we had probably woken him up I fully expected him to at least look a bit tired. Instead he came in like he was actually happy to see me and deliver my daughter. I still tell people how nice it was, between contractions, just having regular conversation with Dr. Wolfson. As far as the other comment, let me just say this. I've worked in the medical field my entire life and specifically in health insurance for the last 10 years. I can speak from countless experience, people don't understand the medical system and/or their health care benefits. Whether he brought it up or not, as your physican, you can't cherrypick what you want addressed or not. You may not have brought the issue up, but if it was a noted pre-existing condition, he had every right to bring it up. Granted yes, it hit a different benefit level and you obviously were charged. In your case you are complaining he brought up a medical condition you had....others complain doctors don't look beyond the reason you made your appointment and miss putting the pieces together. I, for one, would be greatful for a doctor that sees your medical history more globally. Dr. Wolfson is amazing, and I'm thankful I've been in his care for 10 years.

I think this doctor should loose his license to practice he takes his personal views and thoughts into the office that don't have any factual medical evidence...I would never recomend this doctor to anyone and wish I would have read the reviews b4 I saw him he's worthless.

beaware of being charged for a physical and an office visit. He brought up a preexisiting condition from the chart which lead into a discussion and a fee for an office visit. I had no intentions of discussing this issue and would not have made an appointment to discuss it. If I had known about his little "trick", I would have refused to discuss things and saved myself $150.00.I would understand if he had asked if I had a consern, but this was his doing not mine.The clinic is very supportive of this deception and refused to entertain the idea - it's common practice to be charged an office visit while there for a physical
