? 1 Star Review – First Smiles Dental Center Aurora CO Our experience at First Smiles Dental Center in Aurora, Colorado with Dr. Yasmin Kasiri was extremely disappointing and left our family feeling very uncomfortable. To be fair, Dr. Yasmin Kasiri was kind to our daughter, who was understandably nervous during her dental appointment. However, the way my wife was treated during the visit was unprofessional and disrespectful. Like many parents do when their child is anxious at the dentist, my wife tried to comfort our daughter by holding her hand and speaking calmly to her during the procedure. Instead of being understanding, Dr. Kasiri abruptly told my wife she could not hold our daughter’s hand and that she needed to move away. The tone was harsh and unnecessary. Throughout the appointment, whenever my wife tried to reassure our daughter, Dr. Kasiri would glare at her with an angry expression, which made the entire situation tense and uncomfortable. A pediatric dentist in Aurora… should understand that parents often help calm their children during stressful procedures. My wife left the appointment feeling disrespected and unwelcome, and as a Mexican woman she felt uncomfortable with the way she was treated during the visit. Because of how upsetting the experience was, I called First Smiles Dental Center in Aurora to discuss the situation with the office. Unfortunately, the conversation did not lead to any resolution. Instead of acknowledging our concerns, I was met with defensive explanations and excuses with no real understanding for what my wife experienced. What happened next was even more concerning. We had another appointment scheduled for the very next day at First Smiles Dental Aurora. On the morning of that appointment, I received a text message saying the appointment needed to be rescheduled, and the explanation referenced the conversation I had with the office about Dr. Kasiri. They told me they would contact me to reschedule the appointment, but they never followed up. From our perspective, it appeared that after we raised a complaint about Dr. Yasmin Kasiri at First Smiles Dental Center Aurora, the office simply decided not to continue seeing us as patients. Families looking for a dentist in Aurora or a pediatric dental office in Aurora, CO should expect professionalism, respect toward parents, and a supportive environment for children. While our daughter was treated kindly, the way my wife was treated and how the office handled our concerns afterward was extremely disappointing. Because of this experience, we will not be returning to First Smiles Dental Center in Aurora and cannot recommend Dr. Yasmin Kasiri or this dental office to other families
