Yash N. Agrawal

I am a breast medical oncologist at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Oncology at the UNC School of Medicine. Since early in my training, I have found a passion in leveraging my love for science to help people during some of the most important moments in their lives. I was drawn to oncology because it allows me the privilege of working closely with patients and families through every stage of care while also contributing to research aiming to improve lives and outcomes for future patients. My philosophy of care is centered on listening and partnership. Every patient’s story is unique, and I aim to work with patients to shape treatment strategy around their individual goals, values, and life circumstances. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, board games, playing violin, and exploring the outdoors. I have a lifelong love of science and mathematics, which continues to inspire my approach to …both research and patient care.
