Dr. Yashar Javidan, MD

My wife and I met with his NP, "Connie" (and forgive me, Connie, for not remembering your last name) and believed these two to be exceptional diagnosticians and sensitive human beings. I am not a fan of any surgery involving my spine, but both the MD and his NP instilled a great amount of confidence. They spent a great deal of time with us, conducting physical tests and reviewing the xrays, MRI and CT scans. I may feel differently after the surgery and after I live with the outcome, but for the moment, I give them both a 5-star rating.

Notwithstanding the doctor's 'exemplary talent', he lacks a proper 'exemplary staff', When requesting an appointment to come in to remove sutures, patient was told by whomever answered the phone at his office "Dr. doesn't use sutures, he only uses staples" and wouldn't schedule an appointment. Had to have another physician in the plastic surgery dept. call and explain that yes the incision was sutured and that they needed to be removed immediately so as to minimize scaring. The plastic surgeon ended up removing the sutures! Most recently the person responsible for ordering prescribed physical therapy following an office visit neglected to do so. Patient is experiencing constant pain and unable to get in touch with the receptionist at the check out counter ?? Doctor is on vacation.

Great doctor - saved me from surgery and recovered so well after a very serious neck and head injury. Will always be grateful.

I saw DR. YASHIR JAVIDAN at the UC DAVIS SPINE CENTER because I could not even stand up straight. When I was standing I had to be hunched over because of terrible back pain. Dr. Javidan ordered an MRI and was able to identify the problem at L1 L2. Although their wasn't as detailed definition as perhaps encyclopedic, he was fairly certain that a fusion would benefit me. You see, in a perfect world we would all fall under exact diagnostic specifications. Unfortunately, it's not always black and white. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Javidan for his professional wisdom and skill to identity what was wrong and realize a plan to correct it. I am only six weeks post op and am able to stand up straight...absolutely beyond happy to be standing and forever grateful to Dr. Javidan!! Also of note is that he did the minimally invasive approach. Really unbelievable that ONE day after surgery I came home walking without even the help of a walker or a cane.
