Dr. Yasmin Anne Orandi, MD

Dr. Orandi has been my doctor for 15-20 years. She is a fabulous, personable physician with trustworthy knowledge. I always look forward to seeing her.

I chose her because she was a woman. I waited for her and them she comes in with a male who types for her. I mean seriously I went to her because I wanted a woman!!! Then she expects me to strip right in front of him & her to see the issue I was there for. I never felt so disgusted by a doctor in my life! When all was said and done, I left with over $200 less in my pocket and without any resolve to my reason for being there! Will NEVER use this woman again!!!

Dr. Orandi is a kind person and good for general things like strep throat and stitches. She is not very good at managing blood pressure medications, asthma, diabetes, pediatric care, etc. After feeling that I didn't have the knowledge to diagnosis my own health problems, I moved to an Internist for care. My Internist had many changes recommended in my medications and felt that although they were "ok", they could have been managed better with fewer medications necessary.

I chose Dr. Orandi because she seemed like she had good qualifications. For regular check-ups, she was fine. However, when I presented with more chronic symptoms, her response was to continuously dismiss me due to my weight. It did turn out I had 2 medical conditions that were not diagnosed by her. Plus one more that was diagnosed by a specialist she referred me too. However, whenever the specialist would ask me to follow-up with her about tests, etc. I would never get a response from her. It was always from her nurse or via mail. After 3 years of this poor care, I finally switched to a clinic where my other conditions were diagnosed, they have electronic medical records so I can review my tests, and the doctor responds to me directly via email or phone.

I have not had any serious medical problem that Dr. Orandi has needed to spend a long amount of time with me. However, in my experience she is professional, very nice, and helpful overall.

I asked for a mammogram order, and I was given one, but I was also told that I could have my breasts removed if I was concerned about my family history of cancer...odd. I think she was trying to be light and funny, but I'm really not sure. I suppose it's a valid medical opinion, but I don't know why you'd suggest that to someone in their 30s who has never needed a biopsy. I'm not sure if she's unprofessional or just flaky. Either way, I won't be back.
