Yassar Hashim, MD

Dr. Yassar Hashim is a surgeon who earned his medical degree from the University of Khartoum in Sudan. He completed residency training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dr. Hashim also pursued fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. With 22 years of experience in surgery, he speaks both English and Arabic.

Dr. Hashim practices at Cedars-Sinai General Surgery in Los Angeles, California. He treats patients with closed head injuries and bone contusions following serious accidents. His experience includes managing polytrauma cases where patients have multiple injuries. Dr. Hashim performs chest X-rays and chest fluoroscopy to evaluate patients, and he provides therapeutic hypothermia treatment when medically appropriate.
