Dr. Yaw Otchere-Boateng, MD

I scheduled an appointment with Yaw Otchere-Boateng, because I’m having chronic back pain and I can’t see my PCP until 2 weeks. He was very unprofessional and cold. He judged me for smoking cigarettes, and said I wasted his time. He wouldn’t even verify his medical title, I believe he’s impersonating real MD’s as I have never been treated this way before. He talked over me and wouldn’t listen to me, it’s obvious he doesn’t care for patients and only wants our money. He’s awful.

I would put 0 stars if that was possible!! The worst visit have ever experienced. Told job was to populate the earth, when went in for elevated heart rate while working out. Am a strength trainer. Said should only ever lift 40lbs! Worst experience ever! Left crying! How is this aloud in medicine!! Sicko! Told to just take short walks bc women shouldn’t do anything but make babies! Horrendous!

Not prepared about my case, asked inappropriate questions. Clueless.

Dr. Otchere-Boateng treated me at the hospital. He spent a lot of time talking to my family and explaining my care after I got out of the hospital. Other doctors do not spend this kind of time and making a point to come and see me when my family is there. I don't understand medical things well but he was very patient with me and letting my family know things.

Dr. Otchere-Boateng saw my elderly aunt in Pikeville Medical Center. He treated her with little respect. Told us that she was an inconvenience because of her age. This man should not be able to work with elderly if he has such low opinion of them.
