She check my 2 month old son blood test at 6 pm and made decision to put my son on medication right away . Test numbers was way to far what I got with other doctors . She was pushing me to do it faster. I wouldn’t recommend her ever to anyone

I visited Dr. Kogelman several years ago during my mid-teens. I had already come in with several PCOS symptoms which are honestly really embarrassing to have. She obviously knew what I was upset about. When I said that I didn't want to talk about it, she looked at me knowing what I was upset about, and said "Well, we're just going to have to talk about it aren't we?" in the most condescending way. We moved forward with testing and as a part of the diagnosis, she added that it was because of me, because I had gained weight. This is in complete disregard for the fact that I have a family history of PCOS. She made me feel like it was my fault and I could reverse it if I just lost weight. I left that appointment with a prescription for birth control and overwhelming feelings of shame. This interaction greatly impacted my mental health and I carry that shame with me to this day. Yelena Kogelman is absolutely awful. So, if you're plus-sized and experiencing symptoms that could be linked to… an endocrine issue, I would run far away and look for a doctor who doesn't choose your weight as the root of the issues you can't control.
