Dr. Yelena Lapan, MD

This doctor was completely dismissive of my concerns. I explained my pain in great detail for half an hour, only for her to brush it off at the end by saying, "Well, it doesn’t sound like you can’t move or stand." I was stunned and asked, "Did you not hear me this entire time?!" She rushed through my visit, showed no real interest in addressing my pain, and simply told me to improve my diet—without ordering any imaging or tests. If you're looking for a doctor who genuinely prioritizes your health rather than mechanically checking off boxes in a packed schedule, I would strongly recommend avoiding this one. At this point, I can’t help but wonder: should compassion and a true desire to help people be a prerequisite for becoming a doctor, rather than just memorizing medical terms and procedures? She is one of the worst doctors I have ever met.

It’s constantly a battle to advocate for my health with her extremely crude and disrespectful attitude . I understand she’s eastern European, which is why I picked her because I have a similar background as her and can handle it but she just completely doesn’t care.

She listened intently and gave attention to details. She considered a few possibilities, ordered x rays to r/u an issue, ordered medications I needed and showed compassion for my illness. I did not feel rushed and she gave me the time and attention necessary. I was very pleased with her services.

Tho doctor is crude and disrespectful. I told her I had numb feet and she said that’s just part of getting old. She has no interest in treating me. She should not be allowed to be a doctor until she takes sone patient care classes.
