Yelena Pleshkova, MD, MBA

Yelena Pleshkova, MD, MBA is a dedicated Internal Medicine and Primary Care doctor. For Dr. Pleshkova, what matters most is getting to know her patients as people — not just as medical cases — and building respectful relationships rooted in trust and compassion. She knows that her patients live in their own bodies and understand their experiences better than anyone else, so Dr. Pleshkova’s role is to listen deeply, validate those experiences, and integrate them with her medical knowledge so that together they can collaborate on the right treatment plans.

Dr. Pleshkova first attended National Medical University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. After relocating to Houston, Texas, she completed a Family Medicine externship at HCA Healthcare West Houston Hospital, followed by a Cardiology externship at Memorial Hermann Hospital, both in 2021. Dr. Pleshkova then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Adventhealth in Sebring, Florida, in 2025. Trilingual in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, she …joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in November 2025 as a primary care physician.

Dr. Pleshkova’s inspiration to become a doctor came from her grandmother, who served as a physician during World War II and whose two daughters also became physicians. Dr. Pleshkova specializes in caring for adults and seniors, with a focus on complex and chronic conditions. Her expertise includes managing diabetes, metabolic syndrome and obesity, metabolic-associated liver disease, difficult-to-control hypertension, heart failure, asthma, COPD, and chronic kidney disease. She also has experience in diagnosing and treating rare conditions such as cardiac amyloidosis, amyloid polyneuropathy, and complex chronic pain syndromes. She focuses on preventive care, identifying conditions before complications arise, and restoring metabolic health and vitality through tailored care.
