Dr. Yihong Joy Hao, MD

I was a committed patient of Dr. Hao, fully following her care plan, which included extensive testing, a costly supplement regimen, rigorous detox protocols, and multiple follow-up visits. I spent a significant amount of money at her practice and initially trusted her approach. That trust began to erode when I emailed a few basic follow-up questions after receiving some very concerning test results. Instead of receiving patient support, I was told I’d need to pay for another office visit just to get answers to simple questions, questions that would have likely taken less then 10 minutes to answer. Later, when I requested a simple doctor’s note outlining the care she had already provided to me, I was told the same, no letter without another paid visit. When I expressed concern over that policy, the request was denied outright and the letter was refused. While some parts of her protocol did help improve my health, the pattern of prioritizing billing and financial gain over patient… support became undeniable. In addition to this, my appointments often felt rushed, despite office visit costs ranging from $295 to $345. This experience only further supported my suspicions of financial gain being the priority of the practice. It’s a disappointing realization when a provider you once trusted seems more focused on revenue than wellness. While the front office staff (especially Jonanna, Raquel, and Yoshi) were always professional and kind, my experience with Dr. Hao was disheartening. I would not recommend this practice to anyone and will be continuing my care elsewhere, specifically with Tringali Health, where I’ve heard patients (including previously frustrated patients of Dr. Hao's) receive far more ethical and thoughtful care.

If you are looking for a great office this isn’t it. They rarely answer the phone to make an appointment and call you back the next day even when you call first thing in the morning. I finally get through to make an appointment, make it. And now they don’t take insurance. Which they didn’t tell me when I made the appointment. Good Staff is so important.

Dr. Hao & Healthgrades.com At 60 I thought I was dying. I had a lot going on suddenly. My neck made a crackling sound, I couldn’t swallow, an electric feeling was blanketing my brain and the accompanying ultra-high-pitched noise that accompanied it continuously, Esophageal issues, couldn't sleep. I was a mess. My Primary doctor didn't - "couldn't help me". Quote - unquote. After discussing my sudden health issues with a client of mine, she recommended me to Dr. Hao. A urine test was sent out and confirmed I had 8 types of molds in 2 categories. I was put on a plan that included a binder to mix with water once a day and 2 supplements that helped my body along with 2 - 45 minutes at 140-degree sessions a week with an Inferred sauna. I also received a 1,000 mg. Glutathione injection once a week for 5 months. Narrowing down the possibilities of where I contracted this, I realized I had been cleaning out dead fronds from my cat palm and there was a sooty mold on them as I… pulled out the dead fronds the mold became airborne. I also had a damaged Vagus nerve from my favorite sleep position. Dr. Hao went through all of my reports from every kind of dr. I went to : Primary many times a 2 from the same office A new primary 1 neurologist 2 neurosurgeons 2 ENT's 1 Otorhinolaryngologist 1 Gastrointestinal 1 Neurochiropractor (helped with part of my neck issue with 10 sessions stretching my neck to decompress 2 vertebrae - helped a lot) We also did a parasite (negative) and vitamin deficiency tests (pending). My Vagus nerve is in the progress of healing. I feel 90% even with better than I did 1 year ago. Dr. Hao saved me like no other doctors were remotely able to help with in a total of 5 months. I can't tell you how grateful I am for Dr. Hao's help.

Dr Hao sent my bloodwork out and found out that I had a magnesium deficiency and low on B. I finally found a doctor that was able to diagnose my condition. I’ve had so many blood tests in my life but never this. I’m just grateful to Dr Hao for giving me back my health. I will continue to see Dr Hao as needed. As i go for annual visits to an internist, dentist and Gynocologist- I will continue to visit Dr Hao as well.

I have been with her for over ten years. It is so frustrating to know something is wrong with you but not one doctor can go beyond the blood work that is normal. Until her she looked at me looked at my tongue. She nailed it and it was confirmed with the right blood work from someone who knows what they are doing. I have been treated for a thyroid issue that not one doctor could find she did. I will never ever question her she is caring and does not put a band aid on the wound until she finds out what is making it bleed. I have also had a great experience with her husband who is one of the best acupuncturist. He put my anxiety in check not to mention I haven't had a smoke in over ten years. Only one session didn't even know he was treating me for that also. I feel like family. She listens but you also have to ask. I can't even imagine going anywhere else. I have not had any issues since she set me on the right path. I have never felt so good thanks to Dr. Hao.

ASKED AROUND ABOUT THIS DOCTOR BEFORE SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD SHE WAS “SO-SO.” MY EXPERIENCE, SHE IS A DEFINITE “SO NOOOOO!” DON'T BELIEVE ME? LOOK ON YELP AS WELL. THIS DOCTOR IS AN MD AND FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE DOCTOR. WENT TO SEE HER INITIALLY AFTER HAVING TAKEN AN ANTIBIOTIC FOR A VERY PAINFUL SMALL BACTERIAL OVERGROWTH INFECTION (SIBO) WHICH ON THAT VISIT I WAS SOLD $140 OF SUPPLEMENTS FOR TREATMENT. THEY DID A SPECTRACELL NUTRIENT TEST, WHICH I PAID $88 FOR AND RETURNED A MONTH LATER FOR THE RESULTS. THE APPOINTMENT WAS FOR 1 PM AND I WAS ON TIME AND WAITED UNTIL ALMOST 1:30 TO SEE THE DOCTOR. MENTIONING TO THE WOMAN WHO TOOK MY BLOOD PRESSURE THAT IT WAS ALMOST 1:30, SHE SAID THAT I WAS “LUCKY I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT TWO HOURS LIKE SOME OTHER DOCTORS.” AND IT WAS ALL DOWNHILL FROM THERE. WHEN THE DOCTOR CAME INTO THE ROOM, SHE BRIEFLY LOOKED AT THE TEST AND WROTE DOWN THREE PRODUCTS THAT I SHOULD BUY BEFORE I LEFT. SHE TOLD ME I WAS LOW IN… ZINC AND VIT D. BEFORE I COULD OPEN MY MOUTH TO ASK A QUESTION ABOUT THE TEST OR ABOUT THE SIBO INFECTION FROM THE LAST VISIT, SHE THEN SAID, “I HAVE ANOTHER PATIENT.” WITH NO QUESTIONS ANSWERED, SHE JUST EXITED THE ROOM AND ON HER WAY OUT SHE SAID “THREE MONTHS.” NO INDICATION THAT THE APPOINTMENT WAS OVER. JUST LEFT ABRUPTLY. IN SHOCK I SAID TO THE ASSISTANT “I HAVE QUESTIONS FOR THE DOCTOR ABOUT THE NUTRIENT TEST AND THE SIBO INFECTION.” I ASKED, “WHERE DID SHE GO?” IS SHE COMING BACK?” TO WHICH SHE REPLIED, “ON EACH VISIT YOU ONLY GET 15 MINUTES. WHAT WERE YOU DOING FOR THE 15 MINUTES YOU HAD WITH HER?. AND SHE REPEATED IT MORE THAN ONCE. I SAID, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” REALLY? I THEN WALKED TO THE FRONT AND ASKED TO SEE THE PRODUCTS AND TOOK PICTURES OF THEM. WHAT IS THE POINT OF BUYING ANYTHING FROM A DOCTOR WHO TREATS PATIENTS LIKE THAT? I THEN WROTE THE FOLLOWING NOTE TO THE DOCTOR AND DELIBERATELY WALKED IT OVER TO HER PARTNER AND ASKED HIM TO PLEASE GIVE IT TO HER. ONE OF THE GIRLS CAME RUNNING AFTER ME AND SAID, "YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME THE NOTE." I REPLIED, "I WANT TO BE SURE THE DOCTOR GETS THE MESSAGE." THIS IS WHAT I WROTE AND NEVER HEARD FROM HER. “DR. HAO. I CAME IN AT 12:55 AND THE APPOINTMENT WAS FOR 1:00 AND I WAITED UNTIL ALMOST 1:30. I HAD A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS, BUT YOU RAN OUT OF THE ROOM TO ANOTHER PATIENT. THE LADY WHO TOOK OVER WHEN I ASKED IF I COULD SPEAK TO YOU TO ASK YOU QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SPECTRA CELL NUTRIENT TEST AND SIBO INFECTION TOLD ME I "GOT" MY 15 MINUTES WITH YOU AND THAT WAS ALL I WOULD GET ON EACH APPOINTMENT. SHE THEN ASKED ME “WHAT WERE YOU DOING FOR THOSE 15 MINUTES WHEN YOU WERE WITH THE DOCTOR?” SHE TOLD ME MORE THAN ONCE THAT I ONLY GET 15 MINUTES PER DOCTOR VISIT. I TOLD HER, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME? REALLY? I WILL WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU OR I WON'T RETURN. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ON MANY LEVELS." DO YOU THINK SHE EVER CALLED? I WASTED MY TIME GOING THERE AND I HAVE USELESS TEST RESULTS THAT I CAN'T INTERPRET. THIS IS THE QUALITY OF CARE THIS DOCTOR PROVIDES AFTER BEING SICK AND TRYING TO HELP MYSELF GET WELL BY GOING TO SEE HER. I CALLED THE SPECTRA CELL LAB TO ASK FOR HELP IN INTERPRETING THE TEST RESULTS. THEY COULDN'T HELP ME. THEY GAVE ME THE NUMBER OF THE REP WHO WORKS WITH THE DOCTOR IN SOUTH FLORIDA. I GOT NOWHERE WITH HER. SHE TOLD ME THIS DOCTOR IS THE ONLY DOCTOR IN THE AREA WHO TAKES MEDICARE. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. WOULD YOU IF YOU WERE ME?

Very professional, caring, knowledgeable. She diagnoses what others mistreat and works with her patients to improve their quality of life... highly recommend

She was a little to fast in selling me the supplements and suggesting non conventional testing. She did not do a real exam and said I had to come back again for that. Was going to but as soon as I wanted to research the supplemets she backed off. She was reight about some of them as I went back on on my own and did see a change but, I was a little taken aback by no real exam, Donr know if I would go back

Dr. Hao is knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and detail oriented. She does not push a particular agenda or point of view and takes time to listen to one's own goals and values; she manages to blend Western physiology with Eastern energetic principles.
