Dr. Yilien Alonso, MD

Dr. Yilien Alonso, MD, is a Scottsdale, AZ–based gastroenterologist and internist with dual board certification in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. She is a cum laude graduate of Florida International University’s Biological Sciences program with a Chemistry minor. In addition, she earned her medical degree at FIU’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine before completing residency training at Cleveland Clinic Florida and a gastroenterology fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center–New Orleans. In August 2015, Dr. Alonso received the Florida Board of Medicine Chairman’s Recognition Award for “extraordinary medical and social competence,” setting the tone for her compassionate, patient-first approach to digestive health.
