I’ve never had an appointment with a physician that has been this utterly dismissive and disrespectful. I would rate his bedside manners as a 1/10. Before even introducing himself he walked into the exam room and said “I don’t know why you’re here.” Any concerns or symptoms I brought him he rebutted with a blanket statement w/o evidence or thorough explanation as to why my concerns or symptoms can’t be true. I constantly heard “there’s no correlation” or “there’s no association” when inquiring about why my symptoms could be happening. He lacked knowledge just as much as he lacked compassion. I waited for this appointment for more than 6 months just for him to be so unprofessional. He couldn’t believe that hydrogen SIBO could exist alongside constipation and therefore, was just dismissive of what I’ve been experiencing for the rest of the appointment. He definitely assumed I was lying about everything. Please don’t waste your time. I believe Cedars Sinai is an incredible facility but… this “MD” is not.

Made no effort to dig into my health to have other medical specialists help resolve my case. Root cause silicone gel breast ruptured into my system causing horrific medical issues turning into symptoms. Im a Ucla patient. I wassent to Cedars for breath testing. I Tested positive Sibo but the tmedication given in march 2026 I reacted severely. Dr Chan didn't have a true response but put me back on an RX medication.

I'm now in the hands of a surgeon and I'll see how the procedure goes.

Doctor Yin Chen was awesome. He listened and discussed everything with me. He made everything clear and went over all the different options. He gave me hope and a plan moving forward. I feel better knowing I'm on track to hopefully get better.

The Doctor took the time to re-explain my b treatment plan and my condition to my husband who showed up in the office few minutes late.

Dr. Chan did not seem like he wanted to spend much time addressing my concerns. Stated that the hospital does not like that he does phone appointments and seemed eager to end the call quickly.

It was the highest level of quality care, thorough, caring and very impressed with the breadth of knowledge communicated to me.
