I have been a patient with Dr. CHEN FOR 14 YEARS and I live 2hrs away and he has always been good to me until today. I show up for an appointment to be told that he doesn't accept my insurance anymore and I can't be seen without insurance. I am 1 yr out of 3rd back surgery and 6 months out of neck surgery and he won't even see me. I was told I had to find another Dr. And they would send my records to them. This is so awful to be treated this way. They don't care about their patients anymore. So now I'm left out here to try to find another Dr that accepts my insurance . And start all over again. Thanks Dr. CHEN.

Dr Chen and his assistant Danielle were awesome very kind. Scheduling was a breeze and I didn’t have to wait at all in the waiting room. X-ray tech was also very kind. They all did an amazing jobs. See ya in 3 months

I drove 2 1/2 hours for my appointment to see Dr. Chen. I watched an hour long webinar he did on youtube twice. I researched his many fine reviews on google, vitals, healthgrades and webmd. I knew I wanted Dr. Chen for my surgeon long before I met him. I found him very warm and engaging. I feel he quickly understood where I was coming from. I will always remember the day of surgery, he asked if I had any questions. I jovially asked him if he got a good night's sleep last night. He raised his hands and triumph and declared, "I did, I don't party like I used to." It has been 17 days since my surgery and I am way beyond any preconceived notions I had of recovery. There are no words how grateful I will always be to Dr. Chen, his staff, and New Albany Surgical Center.

This Dr was very rude. He chose to go on a colleague in office within same specialty instead of forming his own. He did not review new diagnostics, he did not EVEN exam me but only talked. This was 6-7 minutes for a large co-pay and I received two other options other places that were very different from here and addressed my pain. He also put down and demeaned NOT ONE BUT TWO FELLOW colleagues at O.N whom I have a great deal of respect for and had seen me a few times AND performed several diagnostics and said, but they are NOT SPINE SPECIALISTS are they when I referred to the work they had done narrowing it down from shoulder, wrist and neck. I am extremely disappointed and displeased and walked out saying to my spouse I’d never again see him!

Dr Chen has been an awesome doctor, he found the issue with my sacroiliac joint that three other surgeons over the past 8 years couldn't figure it out. My thanks go out to Dr. Chen and all his staff, Kirsten and Riley you guys are awesome too, keep up the excellent care you give. Strongly recommend anyone with back issues that other doctors aren't getting you answers to, go see Dr. Chen.
