Dr. Yong Rak Kim, MD

My first and last visit. Was referred by a female and pretty coworker who said he was very nice and takes time with his patients. My experience was the total opposite. From the cold reception from the front desk to the robotic and cold doctor who didn't smile or even look me in me in the eye. The Only nice person was the spanish nurse in the lab who took my blood. When I called for results on my blood work which I understand from the patient portal, again very cold and the doctor acted like I was bothering him. My cholesterol was high and I asked what to do. He said "Lose weight, no fried food". I'm 155 lbs and on top of that, one of my tests came back positive and was scared. He had no empathy and offered no advice or words of comfort as I was having a full blown panic attack over the phone. Maybe because I was a male patient my experience was horrible and it takes more than knowing medicine. Empathy for your patients is also very important . Awful experience. Shame on you

Busy office, good doctor and nurse! The front desk could use a lesson in courtesy and how to smile! They are the face of the office. The girls at the front desk always look miserable!!!!!

Dr. Yong Kim has been a primary doctor for last 18 years for our family, during which time I hardly remember any occasion that disappointed me, though he is always occupied & busy with many patients. He explains in ordinary language, directs to specialists, whenever necessary, educates us to be aware of current condition and instructs us for better health. I hope he may be healthier enough in New Year to care for the patients as before like us. Thank you very much.

Only in it for the money - will sacrifice your health for the dollar.

My father had abnormal test results and instead of calling, they mail a letter, which would take at least 3 days. It was a life threatening condition and what good does a letter do if the patient doesn't understand it? If the staff calls to confirm appointments, they need to call patients for urgent matters such as these. This is asking for serious liabilit issues.

He is the best doctor for our family

Dr. Yong Kim is an okay doctor, who answered my questions diligently&reassured me of my concerns. During my routine questions examination, he passed judgement on my answers&compared me to other patients (not necessary). He is an average doctor who never goes above&beyond. His staff, on the other hand, is on a whole different level of below average and disorganized. He has two receptionists - right now, one is new, so I cannot comment on her. The other one is his Korean right hand woman with a thick accent and an attitude not needed at a doctors office. She treated me as a money box, demanding money for vaccinations I already had from a previous doctor. She pushed for me to pay for each $99 vaccination treatment and then we called my health insurance&discovered I had no co-payment. As for lab results, she sits there and says "I guess this means..." This is my health, if you cannot tell me my lab results with confidence, then don't say anything at all. I won't be going back.
