The actual wisdom tooth extraction went fine and the office followed up with me multiple times but did not really listen to my concerns. I told them I was in extreme pain in the days following my wisdom teeth extraction but they kept telling me it was a normal amount of pain and to keep taking narcotics. Turns out I had a dry socket that wasn't caught until 7 days after surgery. When packing the socket, the area was not properly numbed and I felt everything, including hitting my nerve upwards of 5 times. I was in the chair hyperventilating, crying, kicking, and screaming and they assured me that it was normal to be in pain while packing a dry socket. The entire experience was so traumatic I ended up going to a different oral surgeon to have the packing removed and replaced. The packing had actually fallen out which is why I was still using narcotics to manage unrelenting pain 10 days post-op. The new oral surgeon properly numbed and repacked the area and I didn't feel a single thing.… Dr. Han is very smart, explains everything and is a good surgeon but he's very robotic and lacks compassion. I tried to explain to him that I've had very bad dentist experiences in the past and he laughed it off and said nobody likes the dentist. Anyone who considers putting their health in Dr. Han's hands deserves to know what happened to me under his care.
