Dr. Yoram Dov Gutfreund, MD

Dr. Gutfreund really helped my father, who came into the ER with an infection. He clearly explained my father’s condition to my family, thoroughly discussed all the results, and answered all our concerns with patience. We are grateful.

I went in today seeking help and he was the doctor that saw me. The instant he saw me, he said I looked "too healthy to be in the ER, so what seems to be the problem?". Also he mentioned that in order for a person my age to be having any heart related problems, I would have to be doing a lot of cocaine, and that hurt me and I started to cry because I didn't understand why the mention of this drug came into the conversation and why wasn't he trying to help me instead of making me feel ashamed for coming in for help. He doesn't seem very patient or friendly when you get to talk to him, and he doesn't seem to like to what his job duties require him to do. Apparently in his opinion, it was a waste of time for me to come to the ER for my concern...

I had a bad experience with this Doctor. I was not given the best care. My health is important to me. I had to get a second opinion and found out that this doctor didn't take the time to look into my case. I am on medication now for my swelling.
