Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, MD

This doctor gets complaints from people about his bedside manner simply because they want it sugar coated. This doctor cares, but he will tell you exactly how it is, and what you need to do in order to achieve your goal. He doesn't hold your hand and lie you into success, he sets a goal, and it's your responsibility to do it. He cannot live at your house, and smack your hand when you grab an unhealthy food item.

The doctor is too rude and has a lot of attitude he don’t know how to be nice and he thinks the people are being lazy just because they struggle he don’t know what they go going in their life

I was a patient of Dr. Younan F Nowzaradan. He performed cholecystectomy at St. Joseph hospital. The first mistake I was given a medicine that I was severely allergic to and I had to bring it to the hospital staff attention. The nursing staff contacted the physician which he was unavailable and the order came from a Nurse Cindy Waters. A medication was administrated which did not work and an allergic reaction came on and became worse and compromising my airway. Another order came for a steroid which did help the allergic reaction. The next problem was that I requested to see Dr. Nowzaradan several times and was told he was "filming" or in surgery. I began to develop "flu like systems' in the hospital and was told this was normal. On the day of discharge I requested with my patient rights that I do not be discharged because of the fever and flu like symptoms but Nurse Cindy Water again refused to let me stay. Again, I request to speak with Dr. Nowzaradan and was refused and discharged.… I went home still ill and over a span of 3 days I developed a high fever, flu like symptoms and was very ill. I ended up in the ER at another hospital close to home which they found fluid abscess in my abdominal area, incision infection seen on a CT Abdominal Scan and was admitted and treated by another physician. This is truly negligence and malpractice. I went to my follow up after my discharge on my 2nd hospitalization and brought about my concerns, protocol and procedures of my post operation care with Dr. Nowzaradan. He immediately became enraged and verbally abusive and walked out of the room refusing to see me. I certainly called him out on his negligence and poor post op care. He was so verbally abusive and insulting I left the office in tears, frightful and now I have to follow up with another surgeon. Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, RN Cindy Water, hospital staff and St. Joseph was negligence in my care.

She has dark hair and wears glasses. She is rude and has a nasty attitude!! They need to replace her a.s.a.p!!!

Just wanted to say how wonderful Dr. Nowzaradan is, the show and all the help he does. However some of the Therapist's he recommends really drive me crazy on a very personal level. My mother who was extremely intelligent did not, would not, and stopped going to any Dr.'s because of the way they would talk to her...VERY belittling, talked down to her like she was a child. I see this all the time!!!! She therefore stopped going to Dr.'s her health failed at a young age {to me} 70 and she died of a heart attack. I am saying this just sooooo maybe they can change there ways and this doesn't happen to 1 more person! Thank You, DD

I am not a patient but I do watch my 600 pound life and I am just amazed at what he does and how much he puts up with he changes people's lives and brings families together and brings hope back into people's lives they deserve it They deserve a second chance in life and to have someone like doctor now help them that is just amazing and I would love some day to meet him he is incredible he is the best doctor I have ever seen There are no words to say just how incredible he is I hope people learn from the guy that Sometimes life sucks but don't let it bring you down because you people are better than that and I can see that on the show how many of them think they're worthless and doctor now shows them that they can be somebody and do amazing things These people that he has changed their lives is just so amazing and I'm very proud of everyone who has tried so hard to change their lives and doctor now is there to help them sometimes he is a little rough but that is because he cares and he… wants them to succeed good job doctor now you are the best ever and anybody who gets help from him you are worth it don't let anybody else tell you you're not...f the haters!!! I love you doctor now you are amazing and I am so glad there somebody like you in this world to help people they are worth it and like I said there's no words to express how amazing he is he is just like an angel sent from above everybody you can do this???

I am not a patient, But watch the show on TLC. I am totally amaze with Dr.Younan Nowzaradan, your patience and good heart, wow. I wish you live in Canada I love you to do the surgery on me, you are someone I would totally trust. Your caring way is unforgettable. Thank you !!!!

I am not a patient of Dr. Nowzarada's, however I enjoy watching him help people transform their lives. I think Dr. Now is the most the most serious, concerned, kind, patient, stern, overtly helpful weight loss doctor. Most shows make me pray, cry, cheer, fuss and clap for his patients successes. I love his real concern for each one, offering them other medical resources if necessary. One show in particular was a 10 year relationship between a man and his live-in girlfriend bot desiring bariatric surgery. The lady got sick causing a delay in her surgery, the man went forward, however after his surgery he went back to his old eating habits and became physical and verbally abusive to his girlfriend. When Dr. Now found out the abuse he immediately stood with the girlfriend and stated he would remove her from the home if necessary. I love Dr. Now and pray all people seeking his assistance are completely satisfied with the after results AND that maintain their weight loss and New life… styles. I further ALL surgeries are complete and safe adding years of life to the patients life! ??????
