Dr. Young Ji Jenice Kim, MD

Wow! A psychiatrist who actually cares about her patients instead of running an assembly line and over-medicating everyone. Dr. Kim is very sweet. My first visit with her was very encouraging; she listened carefully to everything I said about my medical history for 40 minutes. She actually believed me when I listed out all the serious side effects I got when I took certain (most) medications. Psychiatrists of mine in the past seemed to have simply dismissed these as hyperbole or psychosomatic. Now, for the first time in months, I'm functioning normally using a single medication (as opposed to the cocktail of 4-5 I was on before), with NO side effects! Thank you, Dr. Kim, for taking me seriously and for believing that a patient might know something about their own mind/body and what does/doesn't work for them... especially after they've been though 7 years of treatment and dozens of drugs.
