Dr. Young Ju Kim, MD

I was a patient from age 4-16. I am still dealing with the fallout at age 26 from years of medical neglect and abuse from my parent which Dr. Kim perpetuated. I was in the <5% for height/weight for the entirety of that time. I had horrid GI problems for years and Dr. Kim assured my grandmother, word for word, that 'she will grow,' and of the GI agony, 'it was fine.' Dr. Kim failed to see that I was chronically malnourished for over 10 years and my growth was stunted. A bone-age examination at age 14 indicated that my growth was that of a 10-year-old. I vividly remember Dr. Kim seeing me at least once a month for constant respiratory and inner-ear infections. I was sick and asthmatic for my entire childhood, and only at the suggestion of my grandmother did Dr. Kim refer me to an ENT at age 13. The ENT informed us my tonsils were the largest/most inflamed he'd ever come across in his career. They exuded yellow pus and were touching, and he surgically removed them. At 6, I was… in an accident that required sutures on my inner wrist from a deep laceration. Dr. Kim took each of these sutures out while my parent held me still and I screamed and cried. After the first suture, it was very obvious the wound was beginning to open because they were being removed too early. Dr. Kim continued to remove the sutures while my wrist re-opened, and then she closed it with butterfly bandages. My wrist scarred horribly and is still terribly to the touch due to that skin trauma. I can't imagine how Dr. Kim saw me for so many years and said nothing to CPS or never suspected medical neglect, as well as actively harming me herself. Words cannot express the rage and pain I have felt to have gone through years of medical trauma, some of which is now irreparable, thanks to Dr. Kim. Please don't take your children to her, for their sakes.

We started using Dr. Kim 9 years ago when our first son was born. Now all 3 of our kids go to see her. We like her and our kids like her and her staff. So glad she was recommended to us.

Dr. Kim is the best.
