Dr. Yousef Abou-Kayyas, MD

Office staff appears to not care about the patients. It takes weeks for them to do anything the providers request. Provided requested to schedule CAT Scan and 5weeks later no schedule repeated calls, emails and texts and no response. They do not answer the phone. 2nd visit 4 weeks later provider said they would check on SCAN request and still nothing calling the office staff said they would get back by end of day days later no response. Do not go here.

I have no problem with Dr. Kayyas or his nurse. The other employees in the office are probably the worst I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve been going there for about 10 yrs maybe longer. Every time I have to get a refill sent to a certain place that sends my medicine through the mail it takes weeks. I’m always out of medicine before I get it straight. They say the didn’t get the refill request every time it’s been sent. Then when they finally do send the prescription in it has the wrong amount of tablets on it. So here we go again trying to get them to answer the phone get it straightened up and faxed back. This is a every 3 month ordeal. I’m sure the office employees have cost Dr. Kayyas lots of patients.

This doctor is terrible. Completely miss diagnosed my condition. Seemed like he never even heard a word I said to him about what happened to me. This doctor is sure to say COPD for anyone who suddenly cant breath. Don't think he ever even read my CT scan. Caused me to suffer for 3 months while he filled his pockets with my insurance money and my money. Paid in full by the way. Thank God I went and got a second opinion. I had to have surgery for a damaged Phrenic nerve. New doctor saw it in one second of looking at my report. The new doctor saved my life. Get a second opinion or just don't go to this doctor at all. This statement is 100 % the truth.

worst place ever

Office staff is not professional. Never answer and if by some luck they answer you get "disconnected" and then back to no answer. Ridiculous!

My P.C.P. made an appoint for me and a week later I went to see Dr.Kayyas. I did not make a follow-up appointment because I wanted to see the results of the test his staff gave me. My P.C.P. Dr. Jonh Pang staff made me an appoint without my knowledge and when I did not go to this unknown appointment they charged me $30.00 for missing the appointment. I called the office about this charge and was told they would make me another appointment and drop the $30.00 charge. Three months later I found out that the Doctor was suing me in court for this Thirty dollars and now he has placed it on both credit bureaus as a bad debt. It has hurt my credit score but there is no way I will pay for an appointment I did not make I will see Dr. Kayyas in small claims court over $30.00

Only complaint I have is the assistant that gives allergy injections at Mesquite office. Yes I marked my calendar wrong and came for appointment the day after. My allergies were really bad. I apologized for my error and asked could I go ahead and get my injection. The assistant told the receptionist no because there was too many shots to be given. I turned around and there was no one in the office. Went on ahead and told the receptionist to reschedule me. She did for 2 days later. When I came for my appt. I went in for my injection and got one shot then raised my sleeve to get my 2nd shot. She told me she did not have my medicine made up and I would have to wait till the next month. I was so sick and had saved for a very long time for my vacation off a lifetime, thanks to her I was very sick for this vacation just because the assistant was to lazy to do her job and have my medicine ready. Thinking very seriously of changing doctors because of her.

Dr. Kayyas and his entire staff are great! Very caring and understanding.

I LOVE this office! The staff is courteous and very helpful, I can always get an appointment with no trouble and they always return my phone calls. Dr.Kayyas is compassionate and knowledgeable, and he always answers my questions, no matter how insignificant. I have recommended him to many of my friends and family.
