For all the parents out there who are thinking about ear surgery for their child, or adults thinking of having surgery, I wanted to write and share our wonderful experience with our 7 year old son’s Microtia surgeon, Dr. Youssef Tahiri at Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles. He is extremely passionate about his craft as a reconstructive surgeon. He is also extremely skilled and does these surgeries routinely. He is very kind and genuinely connects with your child and the parents. I was nervous about the whole surgery process but after meeting Dr. Tahiri and his staff, I wasn’t that nervous on surgery day. It’s been 6 months since my surgery with Dr. T. I developed a bone growth, of the skull, from a trauma injury in my early childhood. The growth was on the upper part of right temple and was about 4 inches long. This high spot became more noticeable in my adult years. At age 64, I decided to have something done. I interviewed surgeons that thought I do nothing and just deal with it. Even though it was hard to explain, Dr. T was confident that he could do exactly what I wanted. It was unbelievable that he could make any sense from my babbling, but he did. The scar is undetectable and all feeling have returned in my scalp. Let me save people time, Dr. T is the best, most personable and confident doctor I’ve ever had. Thank you Dr. T, you for gave me back my life.

Dr. Tahiri recently repaired our daughter's wide bilateral cleft palate. During our appointments prior to the surgery Dr. Tahiri was always cheerful and patiently answered all of our questions, even when we asked them multiple times. We felt as prepared as we could be for the big day the the tough ones that were to follow. While we were in the hospital after surgery Dr. Tahiri came to check on us multiple times and made sure that the staff was following his specific post op orders. We are so extremely grateful to Dr. Tahiri for fixing our daughter!

Our daughter absolutely loves Dr Tahiti. He was able to put her at ease for her multiple surgeries. He is great at explaining complex procedures to parents and there is no question that Dr Tahiti truly loves what he does. It has been a pleasure to entrust our child's care someone with such skilled hands and kind heart.

Dr. Tahiri was friendly and inviting. His humor put my daughter at ease and his manner of speaking to her as the patient helped answer all the questions she had. Very personable and attentive to us parents as well.

I have worked in the health care administration field for 15 years and am delighted to say that Dr. Tahiri is one of the most kind and personable surgeons I've ever met. He repaired our son's cleft lip and palate with great care and skill. Our son had two successful surgeries with Dr. Tahiri; he has recovered beautifully and looks amazing. He is on the cutting edge of trends and advancements in surgical care. Dr. Tahiri always took more time with us than he really needed to and ensured that all of our questions and concerns were addressed. Dr. Tahiri coordinated multiple other specialists and did anything he could to make things easier for us. He gets to know you and truly cares about your family. Dr. Tahiri wanted to set our son up for success in life and we are so grateful to him for both his surgical expertise and his TLC. We highly recommend Dr. Tahiri.

Dr. Tahiri performed two seperate surgeries on my son; a cleft palate repair at nine months old and an hemangioma removal at thirteen months old. He is an excellent surgeon and has a great bedside manner. Throughout our visits and surgeries, Dr. Tahiri made me feel at ease and comfortable starting at the very first appointment. I couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend him!

He was an amazing Doctor and person. He talked to me and not at me. I'm sad to see him leave but had a great experience with dealing with him.
