Yu Liang

Yu Liang, M.D., Ph.D., is an assistant clinical professor in the department of pathology, specializing in bone and soft tissue pathology.Dr. Liang earned his medical doctorate from the Medical Center of Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, in Ohio. He completed two residencies in pathology: the first from the University at Buffalo, in NY, and the latter at the University of Cincinnati, where he also served as chief resident in the department of pathology and laboratory medicine. He continued his education at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, by completing an oncological surgical pathology fellowship, followed by a fellowship in bone and soft tissue pathology, and in cancer biomarkers.Board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Liang has participated extensively in various studies. In 2014, he was the recipient of the Fellows’ Research Project Award from MD Anderson’s …department of pathology. He has authored numerous publications and has been invited to present his work at several international conferences.
