Dr. Yulianna E Russak, MD

I had been going to Dr. Russak for years- long before she had her own practice (and she was listed as melanoma specialist). I used to go to her for botox and once for filler- her work was subtle and very good. HOWEVER, in the years since she has built her cosmetic practice, I have found that every time I have gone in to see her for botox or filler, she is trying to push some “new” dermatological procedure on me- for THOUSANDS of dollars, steering me away from filler. WHY? (Let me guess…). In addition, several years ago, she biopsied a site from my face that did not heal. She biopsied it again. Again, it did not heal. I eventually went to another dermatologist who diagnosed me with squamous cell skin cancer- When I asked Dr. Russak’s office for my first biopsy results, they couldn’t find them. When I had my THIRD biopsy from another dermatologist, it finally started to heal- and led me to skin cancer surgery. I have to wonder how that might have been avoided, had Dr. Russak been more… effective. I find her an extremely sweet presence and lovely person- Regardless, I will not be returning for either cosemtic dermatology (don’t try to sell me!), or especially for yearly maintenance.

Im a darker skin color patient. Dr. Russak burnt my face with the laser causing it to turn white. She was not even concerned when i showed her damage that she caused. She scheduled my followup with the PA Iris as her time was too valuable to deal with complications.

Only have good things to say for Dr. Russak. Had several melanomas removed over the past couple of years. Very small scars, and best of all, I am fine. Dr. Russak is a perfectionist. She knows her stuff, with great bedside manner, and works very carefully with minimum discomfort. The office and staff are also very professional.
