A year and a half after Dr. Rapoport did my cataract surgery, I still suffer every minute my eyes are open. I came to her with perfect vision in both eyes and asked for treatment for dry eye. After treatment for dry eye for over a year, she said she noticed small cataracts in both eyes and suggested she could remove them. Spent 12 hours (6am-6pm) in surgery center because she severely damaged my right eye during cataract surgery andglare, had to call in a retinologist as an emergency. He did a surgery on that eye the same day. Many doctor visits later, endless eye exams, eyedrops eye pain for weeks, poor, blurred vision in the operated eye, frequent feelings of unbalance and disorientation, there is little improvement. I had to send a lawyer's letter before her office would send my records, which I am entitled to. In them, she claimed I had come in with glaucoma, which is totally false. None of the other three eye specialists whom i saw after surgery said I had glaucome when I… asked. Draw your own conclusions. She is being investigated by NY State, a procedure that I initiated. By the way, cataract in other eye was removed by another doctor whom I chose very carefully, with perfect results.
