Unfortunately, my visit felt more like a power struggle than a medical consultation. When I expressed personal boundaries and preferences, I was met with rigidity and judgment instead of understanding. Healthcare should be collaborative and adaptive - not dismissive. I left feeling unheard, unsupported, and frankly, a little humiliated. Would not recommend for patients who expect empathy and individualized care. When I brought up an ongoing health concern, I was stunned by how quickly it was brushed aside. There was no curiosity, no problem-solving, and certainly no desire to explore options. Instead of support, I got stonewalled.

I’ve now had a couple appointments with Dr Gil and found her to be professional, knowledgeable and a good listener.

do yourself a favor and find another doctor. She arrived late to the appointment and said her excuse was because the other patient is dying so I can feel empathetic which I understand but it's not really information I would like to know. I glanced at my phone to look at a list of things I wanted to talk to her about just in case I was missing something and she immediately thought I wasn't paying attention and was scrolling Tik Tok or something. Keep in mind this doctor has never heard what a dewormer is but specializes in internal medicine. I had a really bad experience and the way she communicates is by dismissing things I say just to push random heart medications on my first visit with her. She also didn't attend one of my main concerns which was referring me to a hand surgeon since I was attacked by a dog and my hand doesn't open all the way now. Kept pushing psychiatry over and over again and it was starting to make me feel uncomfortable. I'm a male and was surprised she didn't end… up referring me to a gynecologist. I'm 31 years old here but felt as if I was being treated like a naive teen who's never been to a doctor before. The appointment felt and was rushed.
