Dr. Yusr Aboushaar, MD

I had taken my 4 year old to Clendenin wv to the doctor for her not being able to use the bathroom without having such a hard time .after a year or more I began looking for another doctor. I get a doctor from ABC pedestrians at Charleston and after months of doing nothing for my baby and calling and not being able to get a hold of them when I really needed them .or getting them only to be told they would see her on her months later and for me to go to hospital with her. So I would go to hospital to be told they could not find anything wrong. So i began looking for another doctor and trying to find answers. When I was told by a older lady that this Dr Yusr was very good and if there was something wrong then he would find it .well I thought I would probably be told the same as so many other places said they wasn't seeing no one new .but when called after hours left my name and told what I needed. The Dr himself called me back the very next day.and told me to bringher in that he… wouldtake her ..he began listening to everything then gave me meds .and told me what he thought it was. Well he was right on .and now she is better .what took other doctors years and still not figuring anything out .took him not even a month he had her using the bathroom and he sees her every month not every year. He is a very good doctor and very smart.

Excellent doctor, office and staff . My kids love going there . Very caring and passionate. Friendly environment.

Front office staff, particularly Andrea and Jeannie were very helpful, quick, and accurate with insurance questions I had asked. Jeannie does great triaging my 2 children.

This Dr took over for our long time pediatrician who relocated. He seems to want to schedule extra appointments for follow ups on things that do not require one. Also does not seem to grasp the difference between private insurance and Medicaid...private insurance requires out of pocket payments for patients which add up quickly when only giving partial prescriptions and no refills on maintenance medications. He may be fine for someone who only sees him for well child visits because I have no real complaints about the way he handled my daughter's well exam but he is not good for private insurance patients with constant care needs.

I take all three of my kids to Dr. Aboushaar. I would never find another doctor that cares so much about his patients. I do have to agree that the rooms could use a good scrubbing.

I took my twins to Dr. Aboushaar for their first two years. As far as doctors go, he is excellent, you don't get much better. My only complaint with him was his office, it was terribly filthy. When my next child was born premature, I was afraid to take her there. I couldn't take a chance on her getting sick in that dirty environment. I have been through several doctors since switching and haven't found anybody that I like as much as Dr. Aboushaar. I wish he would clean up his office, I would probably take my kids back to him .

He has been my kids Pediatrician for 13 years. I have always found him very knowlegable and frank about his opinion and dignoisis.
