Dr. Yusra Siddiqui, MD

Dr. Yusra Siddiqui MD, specializes in cataract, cornea and refractive surgery. As a board certified surgeon, Dr. Siddiqui performs laser-assisted cataract surgery, advanced technology intraocular lenses, LASIK. She also specializes in corneal cross-linking, corneal transplants and glaucoma treatment including minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS).

Dr. Siddiqui was born in Chicago but raised in Houston where she attended the University of Houston. She was awarded the Terry Scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Psychology. She received her M.D. degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she received the Silver Scalpel Award. She then went on to complete a Cornea, Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School. She is a member of the American Academy of …Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Siddiqui practiced for nearly 3 years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, where she actively participated in medical student and resident education.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, yoga and spin classes.
