Dr. Burns is an excellent endodontist. Had my first ever root canal and it was much easier and hassle free than I anticipated. Thank you!

I was sent to Yvette Burns because my local dentist did not feel he could do the root canal. When it comes to any procedure where I am concerned, I require special consideration of my anxiety and fear of needles. This phobia started when I was a child and had a cruel dentist that used intimidation and threats to get the work done. I say all this to say that as adults dealing with bad dentistry when you are young, dentists today need to be more understanding and show empathy. I did not get that with Dr. Burns!! I do not recommend her if you have anxiety or fears, and they barely applied topical before injections. I am severely bruised in my cheek and gum line and was not told that my permanent crown came off during the procedure, yet it was in the notes according to the other dentist who called me 2 hours after I called the emergency line. I don't know what will happen next, but going to my regular dentist today to see if this tooth has been destroyed due to all the drilling done… during the root canal.

The procedure is mechanically performed by Dr Burns and her assistant while whispering to each other about the other staff, as if I wasn't there! I was told to follow up with my dentist, but I had problems soon after my root canal. The office was no help and dr burns assumes no responsibility.

A root canal. Enjoyable? Almost. In her care! For real. I was referred by the VA (also excellent) and my experience was amazing. The entire practice is state of the art. I felt like her assistant was my personal concierge. We were even evacuated for a fire alarm, but i can hardly even remember worrying about it. I wouldn't wish for a root canal every day, but if ever i have another i will wish for her care. Great Job!
