Dr. Yvette Rene Sweet, DO

I had an appointment with Dr. Cressey when she was working with another doctor, many years ago. She left there and I could not find her but I had told her prior to her leaving that I would find her and have her be my PCP. I didn't find her at first, then I did find her even closer to my home. I have moved to Anaheim and still I drive back to Yorba Linda to see Dr. Cressey when I need her. We never part without a hug. I love this doctor!!!!!

Spent an hour waiting to be seen. I am a new patient. She finally came in and spent about 5 min with me and only because that's how long it took her to refill my prescriptions. She never checked me as a doctor SHOULD, never listened to my heart, checked my neck nor ears, etc. She never even asked how I was feeling. It was all very rushed, I think I was the last patient to be seen even though my appt was for an hour prior to when she walked in. Got the feeling it was her lunch time. It was very rushed and I was very disappointed in her. To not even if I had any concerns or issues was not very Doctorly. She supposedly has compassion and prides herself in her bedside manner but I did not see any of it. I am changing doctors. It sucks because my prior doctor would not refill my scripts because he had not seen me in over 6 months and she had not problem refilling my scripts without any lab work or even giving me any type of exam. She never even touched me. Horrible doctor.

Yes, Dr. Cressey is nice. However nice does not mean she is a good doctor. I had labs done at my physical and was not given results until I physically went into the office to inquire about them. What was alarming was some of my results were abnormal. It took over a month to obtain authoriation to see a specialist, again with me having to come into the office to find out status. Her "office manager" is her son who you can tell has very little to no medical training and is not professional in the least bit. Her nurse was snarky and rude. I can say that the receptionist up front was very nice but also you could tell has very little medical training. Dr. Cressey would prescribe me medications and not require a follow up. These medications were for blood pressure and depression and any good doctor would want to see you back within a few weeks to make sure they are working and not causing any ill side effects. She just wrote for 11 refills and left it at that. My pharmacist had to correct… her incorrect prescribing multiple times. Once she found out that my insurance was going to term and I would have to switch my PCP she did not care about my treatment any longer. A good doctor would at most make sure proper medications were filled and that the patient would be taken care of until a patient is able to go to a new doctor. Her solution was to pay cash and either see her or go to a specialist. Clearly she has no concept of how difficult that would be financially. She left me with no refills and didn't care that I may suffer from withdrawl symptoms. This does lead me to believe she is in practice for money, not to help her patients.

Not counting that she is not MD, but she could not even live up to the standard of DO. If Brendan the office manager is her son, it explains why she cares less about her patients, only for the money. When I told Brendan that his receptionist was rude, argumentative, and unhelpful; she refused to give her name, or answer my questions, Brendan did not apologize, but he retaliated against me, confrontational, bullying me, intimidated me, and then barked at me like a mad dog, "Go somewhere else." They are anti-patients. I strongly not recommend this DO to anyone!

While I agree, it would be nice to have a referral doctor in Dr. Cressey's absence. I do not agree with any of the negative statments below. Dr. Cressey has always been a sweet caring professional, and I feel very comfortable having her manage my health, and the health of my family.

Well there's a bunch of reasons why I liked her but ill just name a few... #1 was how welcoming her office in general is. The walls weren't the normal plain white with ugly chairs and that awful "you know you're at the dr" feel. I felt like i was waiting in my living room. Very welcoming. Her front desk employees were great too. Very upbeat and nice. Her pap room is very fun as well. she has a lovely picture of the beach and a boat above the bed so you can look at that and forget what you're really there. :) Dr Cressey is very professional and sweet. Makes you feel extremely comfortable and at ease. She listens to your needs and is interested in YOU. I would recommend her to any of my friends or family.

My family and I real want to like Dr. Cressey. But we get the feeling she is in it only for the life style and the money. Her son is the office manager and very unprofessional. They are only open 4 days a week, you would think being closed Fri. Sat & Sun. you would have a referral doctor available. And if they go on vacation FOR GET ABOUT IT! The office never returns any calls. Our daughter had a panel of blood work done and it was 3 phone calls by us and 6 weeks later before we got the results and was given a prescription over the phone. We are now looking for a REAL DOCTOR & a REAL DOCTOR'S OFFICE for our family.

So far, so good. Really liked her caring, easy going personality. Very easy to talk to.

I am pleased with her ability to show genuine care and the manner in which she communicates my diagnosis is easy to understand. Highly recommend her!
