I cannot comprehend how a professional who is serving the mental health community can approach their client in the manner in which Dr. Vogel did. I had my first and very last session with her about a week ago. During that 45 minute session, maybe about 15 minutes of it was dedicated to me. But the other 30 were hers. I was utterly confused as it appeared like I was the therapist. I left my session feeling pretty ripped off of my co pay that I could've used towards perhaps a better suited professional . When I cancelled my next appointment with her I stated that I felt she made it more about herself and not me to which she responded 'I do that so that my patients can get to know me'. I'm sorry, but none of your clients need to know as much info about her as she shared with me. I would ask Dr. Vogel to please be mindful of her clientele. You don't know who may walk in to your office desperately needing someone to talk to and get some guidance. If you proceed to make them feel like their… issues don't matter they might leave feeling much worse than when they arrived. Please be considerate of how you treat your patients.
