Dr. Zachary L. Gleit

I needed repair for a inguinal hernia on my right side. My experience with Dr. Gleit was excellent. At my initial consultation and examination, he quickly identified the hernia, explained all my options, and was very precise in all his responses. I felt totally at ease during all discussion. On the day of my outpatient surgery, he spoke to me beforehand again to review what was going to take place. After surgery and also the next day he followed up with me. My surgery was flawless. I had absolutely no pain when I walked out of the hospital later in the day after surgery. I had no pain during my days of recovery. Everything went exactly as he explained it - just like clockwork. I was highly impressed with his personal interactions, with his surgical skills, with his knowledge on every detail of what I would experience, and with his follow-up care. I confidently recommend Dr. Gleit to anyone who wants excellence of care with hernia surgery.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. He was rude and arrogant, failed to listen to my complaints, made me feel stupid for even trying to have a surgical consult, tried to belittle my intelligence and in fact actually hurt me while poking and prodding around to try and find what was bothering me instead of listening to what I said when I told him he could easily feel the issue if I were to just lie down. Maybe he is a brilliant surgeon but if you are not sure if you need to be operated on I would not see him.

I had to have surgery for an incisional hernia. It was a very big hernia. Dr. Gleit was recommended to me as on of the best in NY for this kind of surgery. He explained everything very precisely in my pre-operation consult with me and the surgery went very well, with a very good recovery along the timeline he predicted. Highly recommended.

Upon discovery of the need for repair of an old Hernia operation, My PCP referred me to Dr. Gleit, as a new patient. Having gone through TWO knee replacements months earlier, as a Senior, I was somewhat apprehensive about undergoing another surgery ... However, upon just meeting & consulting with Dr. Gleit, my fears were quickly allayed. Gratefully, the operation (of TWO hernia repairs) went seamlessly, with Dr. Gleit and his staff being SO PLEASANTLY EFFICIENT! I was particularly impressed (and pleasantly surprised) by a follow-up phone call from Dr. Gleit PERSONALLY - "just checking" to see how I was recuperating! How Wonderful! (and rare ... !)

Dr.Zachary Gleit is probably the best surgeon in his field's of expertise in the Country.A extremely gifted specialist without a doubt.

I have had a hernia repair and three colonoscopies perform by Dr. Gleit over many years, now. I think he is terrific. Very professional. He is also very kind, which is not always a quality you find in a surgeon.
