The trigger point injections they gave me made my pain worse, and I've had good to injections before. When I got the bill I was floored. $500 just for the injections. I used to pay $60 plus the cost of the visit to my old doctor. Highway robbery.

Over the past 27 years I've visited many doctors and pain clinics seeking relief from chronic low back pain. Even after 4 surgeries and more than 50 injections I was all but convinced I would live the rest of my life in misery. Two years ago I was referred to Dr Lipman for another round of injections. I took the appointment even though I was not expecting decent results. After six injections with temporary and limited relief I thought this procedure was again going no where. Then the doctor recommended RF ablations. With such constant pain I've always been willing to give ANYTHING a try that may help. I agreed to the recommendation and had the procedure. The ablations (4 with more in 2 weeks) have been successful. The doctor says these ablation results could last just a few months, or possibly be permanent. In any case I got surprisingly good relief and look forward to my appointments with Dr Lipman in the future.
