Dr. Zachary Shpall, MD

Dr. Shpall has been our family doctor for over the last 5 years. Our experience with his office has been nothing short of exceptional. He is really what many doctors are not anymore - an old time doctor that goes out of his way to help us whenever we need him. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring doctor and consider him a friend.

If you have been seen by Shpall for any reason, healthy wellness checkup or for illness, seek a second opinion. Also, review your records via HIPAA - you might be in for a surprise. 20-year patient, here, who nearly died because of his incompetence and careless attitude. A real coward who will disappear if you get sick.

I've been a patient for years and it didn't hit me until a recent illness at the horrible follow through care I have received not only in the past but also recently. The doctor never calls with test results. You have to call the office or he has the receptionist call. When asking the receptionist for further information about the tests and results performed she said she didn't know and would put a note in to the doctor and when I asked for the doctor to call me back I either didn't receive a call back or the receptionist would call back. I was also told by the receptionist to google a specialist to seek further medical care. When I did finally get into see the specialist months later (which I had to google) I was told, Dr. Shpall should have called to had me seen earlier as the issue was serious and could have lasting effects on my health. A simple call by Dr. Shpall to the specialist could have cut my two month wait to get seen. The fact that Dr. Shpall never followed… through with my diagnosis and never gave the illness proper attention is sad and irresponsible.

I think he has crossed my file with someone else he forget why he is doing what he does. I had a broken leg didn't take an xray to see why it hurt so much. I went to surgeon and he told me it was broken but repairable, I told this to Sphall and didn't say anything. He forgot about me more than once waiting in a VERY SMALL ROOM, I sat in a there for 3 hours at times, I finally just left and asked to be reschedule. Dr Sphall has giving me bad medicine more than once, he claimed that will work for me as the others wouldn't, none of them worked. He is a pill pusher for his own gain, all he wants is $$$ & more $. even when I need a refill, it takes him at least 5 days for him to get around to sending it to he pharmacist. Other professional doctors told me not to go back to him again. I will not recomended person to anyone I know.

Dr. Shpall has been my moms Doc through normal maladies and now extended care. When I was dealing with her dementia, he visited with me while he was going through the same thing with his mom. He is knowledgeable, patient and attentive. I do agree that the support staff could be better.

Dr. Shpall is a class act doctor in Denver, Colorado. Always empathetic, caring and knowledgable.The ease of getting an appointment with him is decent - sometimes you may have to wait a few days. He is super popular though and worth any wait I assure you.The Dr. is very up on both Western and Eastern medicine and open to trying things in both relams to cure ailments. His bedside manner cannot be beat and he will spend ample time wth you!Only thing I do NOT like in this office is very rude front office staff. I doubt the Doctor is even aware of their behavior. While the Doctor is top notch, you will have to make a sacrifice in the service you get from him with dealing with the two cranks up front. Never a smile to be had on those two women's faces, eye rolling, no eye contact when asking a question and general rudeness are the problems up front. There is just a general "snootiness" from the girls and it does get very bothersome. I think a new front desk staff would be a smart… consideration for Dr Shpall.As for the Doctor himself though, I have to give this guy 4 stars. Don't let unfriendly office workers scare you away from this practice - they can always be replaced.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shpall for over 10 years and highly recommend Dr. Shpall as a brilliant, caring, competent and kind physician. He is an excellent listener, a trustworthy advisor and an all-around good human being. His office staff are outstanding and reflect well on his practice.

It is my opinion that he doesn't care about my health and well-being. I was a patient of his for more than 5 years, and he completely ignored my concerns on my last visit--neither he nor his office staff even checked my blood pressure. He and his staff often ignore telephone calls, and are often rude and leave you hanging and uncertain if you call with a question or concern about your care. I was forced to find a new doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Shpall for 10 years now. There's a reason for that. You are not patient #122 with Dr. Shpall. He treats people like they deserve to be treated and his bedside manner is A+. He always follows up and makes sure things are going well for his patients. His office staff is very professional and kind. This is the best practice I have come across in Denver.
