Dr. Zachary L Singer, DO

Singer started out good but now he’s getting annoying and offensive. Zero bedside manner. What you say matters and how you say it. He’s the only doctor in his office still wearing masks from Covid. If he insists on doing this, he needs a clear mask or face shield. Older patients often need to see his lips while talking to understand what he’s saying. He likes to spread out all your appointments so you’re coming to his office as often as possible. His response is oh well you’re old so that’s your life now. He goes on vacation often and has colleagues take his client visits but doesn’t communicate with them. Then blames it on patient overwhelmed so let’s add lots more appointments. His time matters because he’s getting paid but yours does not.

He and his office don’t respond to messages via the LiveWell portal. They are only interested in office visits. They will not help you otherwise. Insurance workers working the system.

I went for a routine preventive checkup, and received a massive bill that included, in addition to the preventive checkup charge, a non-preventive care charge because... wait for it... he asked me about general health concerns and I answered his questions. Yeah, that was the reason for a massive additional charge. Despite this appointment being set as an annual preventive visit, the doctor did not inform me at the time of the visit that, by answering his further questions about my general health, we are now venturing out of "preventive care" territory. I was therefore unable to make an informed decision, and am now stuck with a huge bill not covered by my insurance. This is highly unethical behavior! He also put in the visit summary a screening test he did not actually perform, (and which was the main reason I scheduled this appointment), saying "Don't worry; we'll get to it next time!" There won't be a next time, that's for sure. (We don't even know if we're comfortable continuing… with Aurora after this awful experience.)

I had a new patient appointment with this man. 17 minutes of reviewing my charts and a 30 minute talking appointment. I knew 5 minutes after I met him that I would never be coming back. He charged me $645.00 for the visit, an absurd and obsessive amount, AND $28 above the contracted insurance rate. Absolutely no recourse on this exorbitant fee once it is charged. Dawn, in the billing department at Aurora Mequon West, was very patient and helpful with my questions. Keep searching for a new doctor, this is NOT the person that you want for your medical needs.

He codes things so he profits. Doesn’t do what he says and will push his beliefs on you. Guy should go practice something else because he has no compassion and is the most dishonest person practicing medicine.

Dr. Singer always helps me quickly when I am needing his advice. He is always very thoughtful and thorough. There isn’t anyone I trust more when it comes to medicine!
