Dr. Zahida Bhatti, MD

I have been a patient for a short amount of time, I’ve seen her now three times and I’ve never encountered such a careless, unresponsive, dismissive, and ignorant provider in my time of needing care. I have an extensive history of physical illnesses and I just recently relocated to Erie and I am now forced to restart my health process. I have made multiple attempts to voice my concerns and issues about MY OWN BODY and this provider is insistent on pushing the agenda of “depression” and due to me recently having a child, she used it as a clutch to aid her belief that this is all mostly “depression” and I need to seek counseling. If you don’t want to do your job thoroughly just say that. I have voiced that I’ve previously had these issues addressed with different providers and they’ve all been responsive in my care that I’ve needed. I told her that the pain that I’m experiencing is intense. I’m not directly asking for pain meds. I initially didn’t even want to be put on pain meds. She… explicitly stated to me so what do you want a stronger pain med? Which is outrageous for a provider to even insinuate that when I have tried multiple times to address my concerns and wanting actual help not to just be put on medication invoicing that I know my own body and I’ve dealt with my physical health, my whole life and communicating the fact that I know this is not strictly just depression for myself. She is dismissive of my concerns and my personal needs. I feel as though this provider needs to be reevaluated for her license and definitely an extra class on professionalism, patient care, patient respect and patient hospitality. A part of your job is to work with people and be hospitable. This is far from outstanding performance from a provider who took years to get her license and be ignorant. I tried to tell her that my body was swollen. I was actively swollen during my appointment and she refused to look at me and acknowledge my concerns about my skin that is right in front of her face. Is absolutely appalling and I will be switching providers and she has a bad taste in my mouth for other providers in Erie. Absolutely unacceptable poor experience in all.
