Dr. Zahida L Muzaffar, MD

Dr. Muzaffar was my pediatrician for my 3 kids. From almost 2001 till 2012. She missed diagnosis for my daughter’s Asthma and Eczema. My daughter developed severe Acute dermatitis Eczema starting age of 3. She used to have severe episodes of Asthma and then Eczema rashes. As a pediatrician Dr. Muzaffar didn’t catch the severity or gave us reference for specialist until she had a severe episode and she was admitted in ICU. I didn’t realize how severe it was until then. I kept going to her as she had convenient hours. I was warned by a previous patient. I am sorry that i didn’t take any action and changed doctors also I apologize for writing this now but want to make sure patients know the facts. Nothing against her personally however I don’t think she is a good pediatrician.

Dr. Zahida never once in about 9 years noticed that I had scoliosis and it is a doctors duty to make sure that she makes accurate diagnosis. Scoliosis doesn't have a cure and if not treated promptly can progress and worsen to a degree that surgery is necessary.

She has been my family pedriatician for a long time and she has been just wonderful. I can call her for an appointment and go see her instantly. She talks to me in detail and gives us individual attention. Diagnoses has been very appropriate.
