Dr. Zahra Sara Afshari, MD

Dr. Afshari is very thorough and patient. She always a new medical student learning from her — I think she is a real life doctor House but with a kind personality. She challenges me to better health and works with other providers. She cares for me when I have given up and my own children don’t seem to care at all. Truly an awesome champion for better health to have.

Dr. Afshari is friendly, easy to talk to and very thorough in her examination of both my symptons and my test results. She spends as much time as needed in her review and assessment of my conditions and past history and follows up with me to make sure I am making progress toward a healthier future. She's both honest and truthful and employs an excellent staff.

Dr. Afshari is very astute and takes in every aspect of a patient's health to understand all potential factors that brought you to her office. She extends herself and staff further than any doctor I have experienced in my 56 years to find practical, realistic solutions that is understood. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Afshari to anyone. She has picked up where other specialists have missed things and is willing to pick-up the phone and talk to other doctors. I consider her my #1 health care provider, my quarterback of healthcare.

Dr. Afshari realizes the importance of an individual approach for each patient. She is extremely thorough in her diagnosis, taking the time to look at all available information and then making a decision on treatment in dialogue with the patient. She’s excellent with follow-up communication. An old-fashioned doctor in the best sense of the term.

I would like to give this Dr. and her staff a shout out. I was diagnosed with a rare condition that took over 8 months of seeing multiple Dr.'s to get diagnosed. I could not get into my own Neurologist for 2 months. When I called Dr. Afshari's office they put me on a wait list and called the next day for a same day appt. She spends an hour with you and does not try to rush out. She was concerned with my condition and made a call to another Dr. while I sat with her. She got me into a Rheumotologist the next morning and because of her true concerns of my condition I was diagnosed with a rare disease that all the other Dr's I saw would send me off to someone else. Dr. Afshari cares about you and the staff is friendly and answers the phone directly. Don't hesitate to reach out to this office!!!

Dr Afshari is an outstanding neurologist. She is honest and direct as well as being thorough in her evaluations In addition to pharmaceutical therapy in treating my epilepsy she has recommended a regimen of vitamins and alternative medicine. Dr. Afshari is brilliant, kind, compassionate, and thorough. She treats her patients with the utmost respect and concern. She works very hard, kindly and scientifically to resolve the medical problem. She goes the extra mile in all ways on the patient's behalf. Not only is she intelligent; she explains things in a way you understand. She spent over an hour with me. She truly cares. Her office nothing like a typical doctors office. I am so lucky to have found her.
