Dr. Zakaria I Assi, MD

Six years ago, after suffering many years of severe pelvic pressure and pain, I was able to do research enough to suspect I had pelvic vascular congestion. Soon after, testing confirmed I had a significant case of pelvic vascular congestion. I was quickly told, I needed the best doctor in the area to perform such a complex procedure and they quickly named Dr Assi. I met Dr Assi just moments before my procedure but he was immediately compassionate and talked me through the process. Comforting me, as I would be kept awake and it was terrifying to think of. He not only placed many ovarian vein coils but he also noticed that I needed a renal stent and immediately placed one. My pelvic pain was significantly improved. If i had to give it a percentage, I’d say at least 90% better. My quality of life was so much better after. Dr Assi stayed after the procedure to be sure I was comfortable and even called to follow up. I’d recommend him to anyone needing an interventional radiologist.
