Dr. Zandra Hm Cheng, MD

Dr. Cheng is a dedicated, caring and outstanding surgeon. She has made my battle with metastatic breast cancer as positive and understandable one. She is always available to offer support in such a caring way. I am so fortunate to have her as my doctor.

Thanks to the "high risk" breast cancer screenings I was diagnosed with 2 stage 1A tumors. The MRI & Biopsy results were sent to Dr. Cheng who then called with the preliminary diagnosis. She explained the results and recommended a series of consultation appointments. She won my trust immediately. Throughout the diagnosis, post-operative care and recovery she was remarkable in her ability to transmit information in layman’s terms. She is compassionate but direct, reassuring and consistently demonstrated a significant personal investment in my care. In addition, her reputation with her peers is one of technical excellence! My decision was for bi-lateral "Goldilocks" mastectomies that Dr. Cheng collaborates with Dr. Goldman (plastic surgeon). It's an innovative, minimally invasive technique for breast reconstruction using a patients own skin and fatty tissue. I am not only cancer free; but delighted with the aesthetic results.
